4.ミクロ及びマクロレベルで変化する分子スイッチ:分子を眼に見える形で変える!

ナノメートルサイズ(10–9 m)の分子の状態を裸眼で見ることができる巨視的な現象と繋げることができれば新しい技術を確立できます。我々が作り上げた結晶は溶けると色が変わり、冷ますと再びもとの状態に戻ります(右図)。この裏には分子と電子の動きを共に動かす物理化学があります。
